Couples who are fearless, fun-loving and full of life will be right at home here in Rustbelt Mayberry.
All couples and all families are loved and welcomed here -
pet parents especially!
Hi! I’m Erin, your new stress-relieving, moment-receiving, joy-seeking photographer who is ready to show you all the beauty and magic and love you bring into this world.
When I’m not holding a cat, I’m holding a camera, which gives me - a mere mortal - superhuman powers of observation and appreciation for the moments that define and transform us. Not just the planned and the pretty, but the surprising and the silly. The real stuff that is visual proof of a life well lived.
You deserve to see what a treasure you are, not just to your soulmate, but to your parents, your children, your grandparents, your best friends who have become family. You deserve a photographer who gets it - who gets you!

our very own Rustbelt Mayberry
If you’ve made it this far and you’re under 40, you might be wondering… what’s a Mayberry? And what does it have to do with the Rustbelt?
Mayberry, dear readers, is the iconic fictional small town that Sheriff Andy Taylor polices without a gun in The Andy Griffith show, which ran in the 1960s. It’s a place where neighbors know and care about each other and despite their missteps and misfortunes strive to do the right thing for the greater good.
You get where I’m going with this ;)
The name Rustbelt Mayberry is my way of paying tribute to the people and places in small towns like ours in Western Pennsylvania that were left behind by industry but carry the wisdom of suffering and a heart to make sure nobody goes it alone. It’s a reminder that we always hold the power to create a more loving, connected, and caring community no matter what life throws at us.
You can’t honor your story if you can’t see it.
That’s why you need a photographer who can.
You are a thoughtful and generous human who shows, in a million wonderful ways, what it looks like to care, to dream, to endure, and to love.
The way you exist in the world and touch the lives of those around you is *the story* and it’s one so close at hand that you can’t see it.
That’s why it’s such a gift for me to preserve your story through photos that center genuine emotion, real moments, and authentic connection.
Here to make spectacular rainy day portraits or for comic relief. (Considering a rebrand to “Short a Stooge” photography, haha!)
Taking care of my couples
-
Every part of your day is special - from morning coffee with Mom to the very last hugs on an empty dance floor, that’s why I only offer full day coverage.
-
Wedding planning is a lot to deal with! Let me help by connecting you with my awesome industry pals who are planners, videographers, florists, and caterers.
-
Together (whether you have a planner or not), we’ll make sure there’s enough time for the portraits you want, make a list to help family formals go smoothly, and make sure you’re not missing from the party for too long!
-
Post Covid, I think we all have a renewed appreciation for any moments we get with our friends and loved ones that we don’t see as often. I am super proactive about working with your parents to get the family candids and out-of-town guests together, often during dancing, so you two can get photos with all your special people!
-
Not every couple decides to print their photos right away and that’s perfectly OK! I’ll keep your gallery accessible online and backed up forever for easy access for you, friends, and family!
-
I want all my couples to have exactly what they want - for themselves and for parents or friends. We’ll work together to custom design an album, thank you cards, wall art or whatever you’d like!
